Where and how you can work

Ravenswood is the home to our headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. We take pride in having a friendly, open office life that is relaxed and honest. We truly want you to come to work as your whole self. As a flexible-first organization, this role requires the Sales Associate to be onsite at the office two-three days a week.

What you’d be doing in this role

As a Sales Associate at Nextpoint, you’ll play a key role in our sales prospecting efforts while starting your journey toward a rewarding sales career with us. You’ll be working closely with the Senior Sales Director, collaborating with our sales, marketing, and client success teams to spark interest in Nextpoint among potential and existing customers. Along the way, you will get hands-on experience learning the ins and outs of sales—from leading discovery calls and demoing our software to handling objections—helping you become a valued member of the team.

We’re looking for someone with high energy, self-motivation, and solid business instincts. You’re naturally curious, have a knack for sales, and thrive on the excitement of creating and executing new campaigns—always learning from each experience to improve the next. If you succeed in this role, your path typically leads to a promotion to Sales Executive within 1-2 years, where you’ll own your own territory and manage your own book of business.

The impact you’ll make

  • Create and Prioritize Target Accounts: You’ll develop and maintain a strategic list of target accounts within your assigned territory, focusing on high-value prospects that align with our business goals.

  • Ensure Data Accuracy: You’ll coordinate list-building activities to ensure that prospect data is relevant, accurate, and complete, laying the foundation for successful outreach.

  • Proactively Engage Prospects: You’ll make the first contact, reaching out to prospects and customers via phone and email, creating a great first impression, and building strong relationships from the start.

  • Partner with Sales Directors and Executives: You’ll work closely with Sales Directors and Executives, helping to fill their pipelines while also developing your own sales skills and learning from experienced professionals.

  • Collaborate with Marketing: You’ll partner with the Marketing team to design and execute outbound marketing initiatives that drive lead generation and keep prospects engaged.

  • Maintain a Healthy Pipeline: You’ll keep prospects engaged and leads moving through the sales funnel with creative, consistent follow-up communication, ensuring a steady flow of new opportunities.

  • Leverage Tools to Stay Organized: You’ll use CRM systems, calendars, and project management tools to keep track of your tasks, follow-ups, and progress, staying organized and efficient.

  • Exceed Activity Goals: You’ll meet—and aim to exceed—monthly activity goals, making sure you’re contributing to the team’s success and staying on track with your personal targets.

  • Deliver Product Demos and Value Propositions: You’ll learn how to demo Nextpoint’s software and effectively communicate our value proposition to prospects, helping them see the benefits of working with us.

  • Travel When Needed: You’ll have the flexibility to travel as needed—whether it’s coming into the office for key events or going on-site to meet with clients and partners.

Your expertise

  • You’ve got 1-3 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role, and if you’ve got prospecting experience or have worked in SaaS, even better.

  • You’re a great communicator—whether you’re writing an email or having a conversation, you know how to get your point across clearly and effectively.

  • You’re naturally curious and excited to dive into learning about new industries and products.

  • Problem-solving is your thing. When challenges come up, you’re quick to figure out solutions and keep things moving.

  • You’re self-motivated, driven, and always ready to take initiative without waiting for direction.

  • You love working with others and are a true team player—collaboration is where you thrive.

  • You’re comfortable in fast-paced environments and can balance working on multiple tasks, taking the initiative, and managing your time like a pro.
