Automotive Detailer

New Way Ford Coon Rapids in Coon Rapids, IA is looking for an Automotive Detailer to handle vehicle preparation and presentation for its sales department. This role goes beyond a standard wash — it includes full interior and exterior detailing, engine compartment cleaning, paint and finish restoration, lot support duties, and ensuring every vehicle meets dealership standards before it reaches a customer. What You'll Do

• Detail vehicle interiors and exteriors including washing, waxing, buffing, polishing, and upholstery cleaning
• Apply paints, dyes, polishes, and reconditioning products to preserve, protect, or restore vehicle color and finish
• Steam-clean engine compartments and remove grease and grime using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
• Evaluate each completed vehicle for cleanliness, cosmetic issues, and compliance with dealership standards before release
• Affix license plates and decals accurately per dealership direction
• Support lot operations including fueling vehicles, jump-starting units on the lot, and snow removal as needed
• Restock supply inventory as needed and keep the detail workspace clean and organized throughout each shift

What We're Looking For

• Prior automotive detail experience preferred
• Ability to operate power and manual shop tools
• Comfortable working in a variety of positions including kneeling, bending, stooping, and overhead work
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload independently
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
