Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees across multiple dealership locations
- Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, commissions, and variable pay components
- Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, 401(k), and other offerings
- Coordinate open enrollment, new hire benefits setup, and life event changes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
- Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in HRIS and payroll systems
- Prepare payroll reports, journal entries, and reconciliations for accounting
- Support annual processes including W-2 preparation, 401(k) audits, and ACA reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency

Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience required; multi-state payroll experience preferred
- Experience with payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, Paychex, or similar) required
- Familiarity with benefits administration and open enrollment processes
- Strong understanding of payroll tax compliance and wage and hour laws
- High degree of accuracy and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Dealership payroll experience a plus
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, HR, or Business preferred
