Marketing Intern

The Marketing and Communications team at Navy Pier is responsible for promoting the Pier itself, along with 70+ stores, restaurants, attractions, and a year-round calendar of events. These efforts support Navy Pier’s mission to be a world-class destination and one of the most visited locations in the Midwest.

We’re looking for a responsible and motivated Marketing Intern to join our Marketing and Communications team. In this role, you’ll support campaign coordination, digital asset management, social media efforts, copy-writing, and various administrative tasks, gaining valuable hands-on experience while helping drive our marketing initiatives forward.

The Marketing Intern will report to the Marketing and Communications Directors. Responsibilities:

• This position works on projects including, but not limited to:
• Supporting campaign coordination and execution 
• Assisting with social media content and engagement 
• Writing and editing copy for posts and blog content 
• Uploading, tagging, and organizing assets in the Digital Asset Management system 
• Providing general administrative support to the Marketing and Communications team 

This position is required to be on-site supporting the Pier.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Successful candidates will have the following education and experience:
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program specializing in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred
• Interest or experience in digital, social or paid media marketing
• Proactive with strong writing and editing skills, attention to detail, and able to manage tasks independently 
• Collaborative and willing to support team projects and daily marketing activities

Be prepared to provide a professional or collegiate reference upon request 

• Internship Periods: August 2025 – December 2025
• Hours: Works a minimum of 22.5 hours per week
