Used Car Manager

Moyer Auto Group is currently seeking a motivated and results-driven Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned vehicle operations. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of our used car department—overseeing inventory acquisition, pricing strategies, vehicle preparation, and sales processes. This is a critical leadership role requiring a strong understanding of the used car market, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Manage and maintain a profitable used vehicle inventory, ensuring the right mix of makes, models, and price points 

• Acquire vehicles through auctions, trade-ins, and dealer relationships 

• Conduct regular market and pricing analysis to ensure competitive positioning 

• Oversee the vehicle reconditioning process, coordinating with service and detail departments to ensure cars are front-line ready 

• Ensure accurate and compelling vehicle merchandising both online and on the lot 

• Collaborate with the sales team to drive used vehicle performance and meet monthly sales objectives 

• Accurately appraise trade-ins using current market tools 

• Monitor vehicle aging and implement strategies to minimize inventory turn time 

• Foster a positive team environment and lead with professionalism and enthusiasm 

Qualifications: 

• Prior experience in used car operations, inventory management, or dealership management is required

• Proven ability to assess and price vehicles accurately and competitively 

• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate others 

• Comfortable working flexible hours, including Saturdays 

• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and accountability 

• Well-groomed, professional appearance 

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record 

• Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
