Shop Foreman

Mooresville Ford is seeking a skilled and driven Automotive Shop Foreman to lead our service team. In this role, you'll ensure all vehicle repairs are performed efficiently and accurately by qualified technicians, all while maintaining a high standard of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist technicians in developing technical skills and product knowledge

• Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures

• Monitor and maintain fair repair order with dispatch

• Provide hands-on technical support to technicians when needed

• Communicate well with service advisors when needed 

• Spot-check completed jobs for quality and accuracy

• Road test vehicles to verify repairs

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment

• Oversee care and inventory of special tools

• Recommend new equipment and tools as needed

• Promote a positive team atmosphere across departments

• Ensure consistent training and development across the service department

• Support customer concern verification through direct communication or test rides

• Must be available Monday - Friday (7am - 6pm) and one Saturday (8am - 2pm) per month

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a technician or shop foreman required

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of warranty and manufacturer policy procedures

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to interpret technical documents, diagrams, and repair procedures

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Having your own tools is a plus
