Automotive Service Technician

Modern Ford of Boone is hiring an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our busy Ford dealership in Boone, NC. We are looking for a skilled Auto Mechanic with strong diagnostic and repair experience who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Automotive Technician Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle concerns using diagnostic scan tools and equipment

• Perform repairs and routine maintenance according to dealership and Ford factory standards

• Complete work orders accurately and efficiently

• Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain required components

• Notify Service Advisors of additional repair needs or safety concerns

• Perform road tests to verify repairs and confirm customer concerns

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

• Assist with additional service-related tasks as needed

Automotive Technician Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician or Auto Mechanic (dealership experience preferred)

• High school diploma or GED required

• Experience with CDK dealership software preferred

• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and customer service abilities

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs as needed
