The Job: Primary function is to assume overall responsibility and authority for administrative and leadership functions, supervision of the organizational plan, and responsibility for ongoing communication with the Governing Body and the Interdisciplinary Group/Team (IDG/IDT), as well as the Hospice staff.
Qualifications:
- Must be a hospice employee and a licensed physician, registered nurse (RN), in good standing for all licensure in the State of Texas
- Must have at least a high school diploma or GED
- Must have at least 1 year of management or supervisory experience in a health related setting such as home and community support services agency, hospital, nursing facility, hospice, outpatient rehabilitation center
- Hospice Administrator with experience of 2 years (required) in Start Ups or newly created companies (a plus)
- Have flexibility and be comfortable and knowledgeable with a broad scope of duties during the initial phase of development
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the staff, the lay and professional public, the Governing Body, the IDG/IDT, and the Medical Director
- Proficient in computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe or PDF software)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage stressful situations and numerous simultaneous projects and tasks
- Strong independent work ethic
- Ability to think creatively and analytically
