Automotive Detailer - Volkswagen Mazda

Capistrano Volkswagen-Mazda is seeking an automotive detailer with high energy, great personality and a good driving record to join our team. This individual will assist our recon and sales department in making our new and used cars sales ready. This is a full-time or part-time position.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate. Automotive Detailer will help support the Sales and Service Department operations with clean and finely detailed vehicles that conform to dealership and manufacturers specification.

Basic Job duties:

• Washes vehicle exterior, Vacuums and cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs
• Applies wax to auto body, buffs surface and perform light color sanding if needed
• Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices
• Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation. Communicates all defects to manager
• Uses touch-up paint and other appropriate cover-up material
• Other duties as assigned not listed

Pay Scale

The Detailer position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges.  Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $20.00 - $24.00.  The position also pays a production bonus based on individual and team performance that may range from $0.00 (if no basline benchmarks are met) without any fixed upper limit.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with clean record
• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to follow directions
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Able to drive a manual transmission vehicle
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screening.
