Accounting Clerk

Midwest Transit Equipment, Inc. seeks a Full Time Accounting Clerk for our Kankakee, IL location.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to accurately and timely process vendor invoices.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• The Candidate may work on accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting.
• Learn how to work as part of the accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company
• Work with the accounting team on the monthly financial close process
• Assist with special projects
• Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

• High school degree required.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility
• Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
