Job Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for being recognized as the trusted business advisor of and for the sales team by managing and developing new and existing customer relationships. Within their role, the ideal candidate will meet established financial and non-financial targets and maximize business opportunities in the areas of Retail Sales Volume, New and Used Sales Volume, various insurance products and programs, as well as other products and programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales and F&I process to identify gaps and implement best practices to maximize mutual value for the dealer and the business through the sale of F&I products
  • Develop key understanding of the dealership and customer needs as it relates to available products, build a plan for the dealership taking a short- and long-term approach
  • Work with product suppliers to build new product campaigns and launch activities, to ensure the success of these specific launches
  • Acts as a subject matter expert to the staff. Has extensive knowledge of available products and services and can mentor dealership personnel through role-play situational training
  • Is a resource for the dealer principal and dealer staff to rely on for updated information and training
  • Maintain and obtain additional industry knowledge via continuing education and training opportunities as provided the Company
  • Liaison between all stakeholders, including finance and insurance product providers, various Company departments, the dealership network and other liaisons.
  • Protection of information and compliance with the law are paramount.    Protecting employee, customer and corporate information is everyone's responsibility at Battle Born Harley.  All employees must follow established safeguards, including policies regarding data protection, segregation of duties, and access to information based solely on business need.    Further, it is the responsibility of all employees to maintain awareness and understanding of relevant laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, and to comply with all of them.
     

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience Requirements

Required

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience within the Harley Davidson industry
  • Prefer previous experience within an automotive financial services company and/or dealership environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills
  • Strong negotiating, influencing, and decision-making skills are a must
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and obtain results with limited, direct supervision
  • High level of computer skills including intermediate level in MS Office software essential
  • Demonstrate ability to take the initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to interact effectively with staff

$75,000.00 Annually. Your pay may be more or less than the stated amount and is dependent on your level of experience.
