Job Summary
The Lead Service Technician oversees daily repair operations within the shop, leads a team of technicians, performs advanced diagnostics and repairs, and ensures all work meets safety and quality standards. We have strong, consistent volume and we're growing the team to add capacity and improve production efficiency. When the team you lead produces, we all succeed.

Essential Duties:
Include but are not limited to:
- Lead by Example: Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs that set the standard for quality and safety in the shop.
- Team Supervision: Direct and support technicians during daily operations to ensure work is completed efficiently and correctly.
- Training & Development: Train and mentor newer technicians, support skill development, and reinforce safe, best-practice repair methods.
- Work Assignment: Dispatch jobs, monitor progress, and provide guidance to keep workflow organized and on schedule.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed repairs to verify they meet shop standards and comply with safety regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Assist technicians with complex diagnostics and escalated repairs.
- Safety Enforcement: Ensure all work complies with OSHA requirements and company safety procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Mercedes-Benz or other European vehicles.
- Consistent production, top-quality work, and pride in the craft.
- Dedication to shop success and the team around you.
- Strong technical reputation and the desire to mentor others. Prior formal leadership experience welcomed but not required.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and brake systems.
- Working knowledge of MBUSA repair standards and warranty documentation requirements.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time in a fast-paced, high-volume shop environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Own set of professional tools.
Compensation
Compensation rewards both individual production and team success: base hourly, leadership premium, and production bonus.
