Finance Process Manager — Billing & Collections
1751 W. Diehl Rd. Suite 400, Naperville, IL
Full Time
Company Overview
The Compliance Services Organization didn't exist. We built it.
MedPro Disposal is the nation's largest privately-held medical waste company, serving 35,000+ healthcare providers across 48 states for the past 15 years. On that foundation, we launched MP1 Solutions to pioneer the Compliance Services Organization (CSO) — a new category of operating partner built to replace the fragmented vendor model that has defined healthcare compliance for decades. MP1 Solutions extends MedPro Disposal's operational infrastructure, vendor network, and customer trust into a category we're actively building — and leading — with a technology-forward approach that's making this model smarter, faster, and more scalable as we grow.
What we do: We operate as the single compliance partner for non-acute healthcare facilities — consolidating every obligation into one coordinated program, assigning one dedicated account manager as the point of accountability, and actively managing the underlying vendor ecosystem through continuous evaluation, negotiation, and optimization on the practice's behalf.
Why it matters: Regulated facilities across the country are managing compliance the same fragmented way they always have. We're changing that, backed by 15 years of MedPro Disposal's operational credibility — and we're looking for people who want to help build what comes next.
Our technology: We're actively building the AI infrastructure that sits behind this model — automating compliance tracking, surfacing risks before they become problems, and creating a system that gets smarter with every client we add. If you want to build at the intersection of compliance and technology, you're in the right place.
Our impact: Our clients never have to worry about something falling through the cracks — obligations are coordinated, tracked, and documented in one place. We audit costs, eliminate overcharges, and deliver proof of compliance that always keeps practices inspection ready. Every client has one dedicated account manager who owns their program end to end. And unlike a traditional vendor relationship, our model is designed to get better over time — continuously re-evaluated, optimized, and improved with every client we serve.
Position Overview:
This role exists to put a single accountable owner over the customer-facing finance lanes — Billing, Collections and Discounts. Today those lanes are run under a shared model where execution and ownership sit with different people, which makes it difficult to hold any one person accountable for outcomes.
Success in this role means billing is accurate the first time, collections convert billed revenue to cash predictably, and the offshore team executing that work is managed to a clear standard. This is an ownership and oversight role rather than a processing role: the day-to-day execution sits with the Philippines team, and this position is accountable for the result.
The seat calls for a senior accounting skillset applied to the order-to-cash cycle. The person in it designs the process, sets the controls, and uses technology and an offshore team to deliver at high volume.
As the Finance Process Manager — Billing & Collections, you will report to the Controller and oversee a Philippines-based team, with some oversight shared with the other Finance Process Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the billing function end to end across all product lines — accuracy, completeness and timeliness
- Own the collections process, from proactive client outreach through to escalation, recovery and write-off
- Manage the discount and service adjustment approval process, holding approval authority and facilitating escalations across departments
- Lead and develop the Philippines-based team executing this work day to day — set standards, review output, approve work and run the review rhythm
- Design, document and continuously improve processes and internal controls across billing, collections and cash handling, so the work is accurate, auditable, transferable and can be covered
- Use technology and automation — ERP/CRM, reporting and AI-enabled tooling — to handle growing volume without adding headcount
- Define, monitor and report on service levels for billing, adjustments and team turnaround, and manage performance against them
- Partner with the Controller and the wider Finance team on process improvement, reporting and quarterly priorities
- Carry the finance tasks that require physical presence in the office
Note on team: the day-to-day execution for these areas sits with a Philippines-based team. This role sets the standard and is accountable for the output rather than performing the processing itself.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- Experience: 5–7 years of accounting and financial operations experience, with at least 2 years owning a process area or managing a team
- Volume: Experience in a high-volume, transaction-intensive environment, with large numbers of invoices, payments and customer accounts
- Process design and controls: Demonstrated experience designing or improving processes and internal controls
- Technology: Demonstrated use of technology and automation to improve throughput and accuracy. Strong Excel capability required. Experience with Salesforce, Striven or a comparable CRM/ERP preferred. Familiarity with AI-enabled finance tooling a plus
- Service management: Experience defining and managing service levels and turnaround standards
- Offshore teams: Experience working with or managing offshore resources, including daily collaboration across time zones
- Order-to-cash: Working knowledge of billing, accounts receivable and collections. Experience in a recurring-revenue or service-contract business preferred
- People leadership: Demonstrated experience managing or developing a team, with accountability for their output
- Location: This is a fully onsite role based at the Naperville, IL office. It is not available on a remote or hybrid basis. Candidates must be able to commute to Naperville daily
- Other: Strong written and verbal communication. This role is client- and vendor-facing, and works daily with a team in a different time zone
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience standing up or restructuring a finance process, rather than only running an established one
- Exposure to PCI-adjacent payment handling and the controls it requires
- Experience working within an EOS or similar operating framework
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base Salary: $80,000–$85,000 per year
- Career Growth: Clear advancement pathways, mentorship, and ongoing training
- Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family
- Work-Life Balance: Generous PTO, paid holidays, and a collaborative, high-energy culture
- Meaningful Impact: Help healthcare providers improve compliance and focus on patient care
