As a Body Shop Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and efficient estimates for collision repairs, maintaining workflow in the body shop, and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service.

 

 

JOB TITLE     Body Shop Estimator 

REPORTS TO: Body Shop Manager 

LOCATION:      Cincinnati, OH

 

 A SHORT LIST OF YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect damaged vehicles and assess the extent of repairs needed.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using estimating software (e.g., CCC One, Mitchell, Audatex).
  • Communicate with customers to explain repair processes, timelines, and costs.
  • Coordinate with insurance adjusters to ensure proper claim handling and approvals.
  • Collaborate with technicians and parts departments to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry repair standards and insurance procedures.
  • Document all repair estimates, supplements, and customer communications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

 

WE’RE LOOKING FOR A SELF-STARTER WHO MEETS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in auto body repair or estimating is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in auto body estimating or a related field.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (CCC One, Mitchell, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle repair processes and insurance procedures.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
