Accounting Clerk Automotive

Mazda of Columbia is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk Automotive to join our team in Columbia, SC. This role involves performing various accounting and clerical tasks to support the dealership's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, experience in an automotive environment is a plus, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain accurate financial records related to automotive transactions
• Reconcile accounts, verify invoices, and prepare financial reports as needed
• Assist with payroll, billing, and accounts payable/receivable
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper documentation and compliance
• Maintain filing systems and ensure confidentiality of financial information
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Perform other clerical and accounting tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Previous experience as an accounting clerk or similar role, preferably in an automotive environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software and databases
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
