Automotive Parts Manager

Position Overview

May Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Automotive Parts Manager to oversee our parts department in Chandler, Oklahoma. This individual will be responsible for maintaining efficient department operations, managing inventory, ensuring timely parts availability, and delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, extensive automotive parts knowledge, and experience managing inventory and dealership parts operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily parts department operations, including inventory management, purchasing, and order fulfillment.

• Coordinate with the service and sales departments to ensure accurate and timely parts availability.

• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery.

• Supervise, train, and support parts department personnel to achieve operational and customer service objectives.

• Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and minimize obsolete and aging inventory.

• Analyze parts sales, inventory turnover, and departmental performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Ensure departmental compliance with dealership policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.

• Prepare and review departmental performance reports and communicate findings to dealership management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Automotive Parts Manager or in a comparable dealership parts management position.

• Strong understanding of automotive parts operations, inventory management, and dealership processes.

• Demonstrated leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Experience analyzing inventory, sales performance, and department profitability.

• Proficiency with dealership management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional automotive certifications preferred.

• Experience with Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram parts operations preferred.
