Mattress Overstock is hiring a full-time Mattress Sales Representative for our Lexington and Georgetown stores. This is a training-path sales role for someone who wants steady hourly pay now and a real opportunity to grow into a higher-earning Sales Manager role.

 

This is not a cashier-only position. Mattress stores may only see a few customers in a day, but those customers are usually serious shoppers. The job is to greet them quickly, ask good questions, build trust, explain options clearly, and help them make a confident purchase.

 

Compensation and upside:

$16.00 per hour.

Full-time schedule, 40 hours per week.

Overtime available when approved and needed by the business.

Vendor bonuses and spiffs may be available.

Health insurance available.

Strong performers can advance into a commissioned Sales Manager role.

The best fit is dependable, coachable, competitive in a healthy way, and comfortable working independently. You do not need to know mattresses on day one, but you do need to want to learn, improve, and sell.

 

There is quiet time between customers. We are fine with employees using appropriate downtime productively once store responsibilities are handled, but when a customer walks in, that customer gets immediate attention.

 

What you will do:

Work scheduled shifts at our Lexington and Georgetown stores.

Greet customers and make them feel comfortable.

Learn our mattress brands, product differences, financing options, and promotions.

Ask questions and recommend the right mattress for each customer.

Follow up with leads, quotes, and undecided shoppers.

Keep the showroom clean, organized, and ready for customers.

Handle basic point-of-sale tasks accurately.

Communicate clearly with managers and teammates.

Help maintain displays and assist with normal showroom tasks as needed.

 

What we need from you:

Reliable transportation to both Lexington and Georgetown.

Strong attendance and punctuality.

Ability to work a full-time retail schedule, including weekends when scheduled.

Comfortable working alone in a showroom for parts of the day.

Real interest in sales, earning, and improving.

Coachable attitude and willingness to learn product knowledge.

Professional communication with customers and coworkers.

Ability to stand, walk the showroom, and help with normal retail showroom duties.
