Job Description

Matt Bowers Ford is seeking an Automotive Lube Technician to join our high-volume service department. This is a critical entry-level role where you will be responsible for providing quick, high-quality maintenance services for our guests.

We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic who want to learn the "Ford way." This position serves as the primary pipeline for our Main Shop. We provide the training and the hours needed to help you advance into a certified Service Technician role.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday

• Rotating Saturdays

• No Sundays

Pay

$18 - $35 per hour

Work Requirements

• Active Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required.

• Ability to commute to Metairie, LA.

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a shop environment for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Express Maintenance: Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and vehicle lubrication with speed and precision.

• Multi-Point Inspections: Conduct thorough safety checks including fluid levels, tire condition, brake wear, and battery health.

• Tire Services: Execute tire rotations, balancing, and pressure adjustments.

• Digital Documentation: Accurately record all work performed and document maintenance recommendations via our dealership software.

• Shop Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work bay to ensure a safe and efficient environment for the whole team.

• Quality Control: Ensure every vehicle is returned to the guest in better condition than it arrived, following all dealership cleanup protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an automotive shop or oil change center is preferred, but we will train motivated candidates.

• Basic knowledge of automotive hand tools and maintenance procedures.

• Self-motivated with a desire to advance through Ford factory training.

• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.

• Reliability and a commitment to showing up on time, every day.
