We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to join our dynamic team at the Marriott Downtown Orlando. This position is responsible for identifying, soliciting, and booking group business.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years of hotel group sales experience; Marriott brand experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Marriott systems, particularly CI/TY.
- Proven success in outside sales and prospecting with the ability to meet and exceed goals.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
Physical requirements:
- Long hours, including weekend, sometimes required.
- Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
General Requirements
- Participate in required M.O.D. and Saturday office coverage as scheduled.
- Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals as assigned by the Director of Sales.
- Invite clients to hotel for entertainment, lunches, tours, and site inspections.
- Assist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments.
- Actively solicit new group business through weekly outside sales calls, in-person appointments, networking events, and trade shows.
- Conduct weekly prospecting efforts to identify and cultivate new group accounts across target market segments.
- Manage and grow assigned group accounts in collaboration with Director of Sales to maximizing revenue and profitability for the hotel.
- Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations and proposals.
- CI/TY working knowledge preferred
