Job Summary

The responsibilities of a Warranty Clerk include tracking warranty claims, processing returns, and investigating product issues. We are looking for someone who excels at multi-tasking and can thrive in the fast-paced environment of our warranty department.

Responsibilities

• Processing all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation and verify the criteria required by the factory or distributor
• Assisting with body shop warranty claims and following up on outstanding claims
• Reconciling all warranty receivables and collaborating with the accounting department to secure payments
• Tracking all warranty parts by noting the repair order number, the date of replacement, and the date on which the part may be disposed of
• Maintaining all service and customer records as required
• Staying updated on all factory recalls and announcements
• Work closely with a team of technicians, service writers, and supervisors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year or more of automotive warranty clerk experience required
• Experience with automotive parts (identification, inspection, classification of component groups, etc.)
• Overall automotive vehicle knowledge
• Strong computer skills and familiar with parts/inventory systems 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
