What You'll Do

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally when they arrive for service.
  • Build lasting relationships with customers and provide an exceptional service experience.
  • Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle symptoms and requested services.
  • Perform thorough vehicle walk-arounds and identify potential maintenance or service needs.
  • Write clear and accurate repair orders based on customer concerns and technician recommendations.
  • Communicate repair and maintenance recommendations in a way that customers can easily understand.
  • Provide customers with accurate estimates of parts, labor, and anticipated completion times.
  • Review technician findings and recommendations with customers.
  • Obtain customer authorization before additional work is performed.
  • Communicate regularly with customers regarding the status of their vehicle.
  • Coordinate with Technicians, Parts personnel, and Service Management to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and correctly.
  • Monitor repair orders and follow up on delayed or additional repairs.
  • Explain completed repairs and recommended maintenance at vehicle delivery.
  • Review invoices and ensure customers understand charges and work performed.
  • Schedule future maintenance and service appointments.
  • Follow up with customers after service visits to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records.
  • Promote recommended maintenance, service specials, manufacturer campaigns, warranties, and other available services.
  • Meet or exceed established customer satisfaction, sales, productivity, and performance goals.
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward effective resolutions.
  • Stay current on vehicle technology, manufacturer requirements, service procedures, and dealership policies.
  • Properly utilize dealership systems, technology, and communication tools.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous automotive service advisor or dealership service experience preferred.
  • Strong automotive knowledge and the ability to understand and explain vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple customers and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong follow-up skills and a commitment to keeping customers informed.
  • The ability to work effectively with Technicians, Parts personnel, Managers, and other dealership employees.
  • A positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • A strong work ethic and desire to succeed.
  • The ability to meet and exceed measurable performance goals.
  • Computer and technology proficiency, with the willingness to learn dealership-specific systems.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to participate in manufacturer and dealership training.
  • Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
