POSITION SUMMARY

Incumbent is a working supervisor that leads a team to perform a variety of housekeeping, floor cleaning, and laundry duties with minimal disruption to the residents and community.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Leads the team; assigns work, and schedules and may approve PTO and timecards
  • Works alongside the team and trains and mentors, including issuing corrective actions
  • Audits and reviews the team’s work
  • May set up and break down of furniture and equipment for special events and activities
  • May assist with record-keeping including logging laundry and other supplies and equipment
  • Visually inspects and cleans, according to established procedures, resident living spaces, nurses’ stations, resident and team member common areas, lounges and breakrooms, utility, treatment, therapy and workrooms and offices, corridors, elevators, stairways, and entrances. 
  • Maintains supplies of cleaning equipment and materials
  • Maintains appropriate logs and records in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Complies with, and assists with, infection control, hazardous waste removal, and other safety precautions, guidelines and policies
  • May assist with occasional special projects including laundry and environmental services tasks
  • May assist in trash removal and sanitation for assigned areas

 WORKING HOURS:

Working hours may include nights, weekends, holidays, early mornings and the ability to work and assist in inclement weather or other unforeseen events

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to be able to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions
  • Possess a good sense of responsibility and ability to work with a team independently
  • Ability to multi-task and work well with others
  • Ability to use a computer
  • May be required to drive a car or golf cart; valid driver's license may be required

Physical Demands:

  1. Lifting:  Up to 50 pounds.
  2. Carrying:  Up to 20 pounds.
  3. Pushing/Pulling:  Up to 50 pounds.
  4. Use of Equipment:  Occasionally
