GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working on commercial buildings and their MEP systems. 
  • 3-5+ years combination experience in HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
  • EPA certification and understanding of complex building infrastructure
  • Must demonstrate a good working knowledge of computers.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Must have good physical condition to perform assigned tasks.
  • Must be able to read blueprints, wiring schematics and other technical documents that apply to building MEP systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate all Corrective Work Orders, assigning to Maintenance Staff and interacting with Outside Contractors.
  • Routinely evaluate the progress of all Corrective and Preventive Work Orders to ensure their completion in a timely manner.
  • Routinely conduct Rounds to evaluate the effectiveness of outside Grounds Contractors as well as the Security Contractor,
  • Maintain various Logs and other documentation for the various Systems throughout the Community.
  • Complete Daily Rounds of Main Mechanical Room ensuring that all systems are operational.
  • Provide proactive leadership to maintain a well-balanced workflow and a culture of trust and reliability within the maintenance department and community.
  • Maintain all maintenance areas in an organized manner that meets or exceeds OSHA, NEC and NFPA standards.
  • Respond and communicate promptly and professionally to all residents, staff members, and Chesapeake leadership.
