What you'll do:

As a body shop Technician A Body Shop Technician you will repair and restore the exterior of vehicles that have been damaged in accidents or through wear and tear. Here's a detailed look of what you'll do

• Inspect vehicles for structural, body, or mechanical damage.
• Collaborate with estimators or insurance adjusters on repair costs.
• Body Repair
• Remove and replace damaged parts 
• Use tools like welders and frame machines to restore structure.
• Surface Preparation
• Sand, grind, and fill surfaces; apply body filler as needed.
• Painting
• Mask off areas, then apply primer, paint, and clear coat.
• Reassembly
• Reinstall parts and ensure proper alignment and function.
• Quality Control
• Inspect final work for accuracy and finish; test drive if needed

Keys To Success

• Previous experience as a Body Shop Technician
• Proficient in collision repair techniques and procedures
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• I-CAR or ASE certification is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
