Shop Foreman

The Shop Foreman is responsible for supervising daily shop operations, ensuring production schedules are met, enforcing safety policies, and leading a team of production workers. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate workflow, troubleshoot issues, and maintain quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate daily manufacturing operations and shop floor activities.

• Assign tasks and monitor the performance of production workers, welders, assemblers, machinists, or other shop employees.

• Ensure products meet quality standards and production goals are achieved on time.

• Interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.

• Lead by example to promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.

• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and logistics teams to resolve production issues.

• Train and mentor employees on procedures, equipment, safety, and company policies.

• Track inventory of materials and supplies and report shortages.

• Maintain documentation for work performed, inspections, and productivity reports.

• Address employee concerns and escalate issues to management as needed.
