Dealership Handyman Maintenance Person

Job Summary:
Koeppel Auto Group is seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our facilities team. The Handyman will perform a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks to keep our dealership buildings, grounds, and equipment in top condition. From fixing minor repairs to assisting with facility upgrades, this role ensures a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

General Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform minor repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems.

• Repair or replace doors, windows, locks, furniture, and fixtures.

• Assist with installation of new equipment, furniture, and dealership fixtures.

• Paint and touch up surfaces to maintain a professional appearance.

Building Upkeep

• Inspect dealership facilities inside and out to identify and address maintenance needs.

• Perform basic landscaping (mowing, trimming, debris removal).

• Keep parking lots and walkways clear of trash, snow, and ice for safety.

Tool & Equipment Maintenance

• Maintain and service tools, equipment, and vehicles used for repairs.

• Report major equipment issues to the Facilities Manager.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety protocols and use protective equipment as required.

• Ensure work areas are safe, clean, and organized to minimize hazards.

Additional Duties

• Respond to work orders and service requests from dealership departments.

• Assist with moving, arranging, and setting up furniture or equipment.

• Handle urgent repair needs promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in general maintenance, repairs, or handyman work.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.

• Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
