We’re committed to offering quality products, competitive pricing, and exceptional customer service.  We’re currently hiring a Retail Sales Associate to support the rollout and growth of our flagship store at Kingz HQ in San Diego, while also supporting online sales. The ideal candidate is service-focused, goal-driven, and passionate about the jiu-jitsu community.

Retail Store hours: Mon-Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 10am-3pm

Schedule:
40 hr weeks, with open availability the following days:
Monday to Friday 9:45am-6:15pm
and Saturdays 9:45am-3:15pm

Hourly Wage: starting at $22 per hour

Sales Responsibilities

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features
  • "Go the extra mile" to drive sales
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
  • Cross-sell products
  • Collaborate with co-workers to ensure customer needs are met
  • Build productive and trusting relationships with customers


Customer Service Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage large amounts of incoming calls
  • Identify and assess customers' needs, in order to achieve satisfaction
  • Handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives in a timely manner, and follow-up to ensure resolution
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
  • Go the extra mile to engage with customers

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a sales associate and/or relevant customer support experience
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Proficiency in English (proficiency in Portuguese is a plus but not required)
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and processes (e.g. Gorgias, Hubspot, Shopify)
  • Customer orientated, and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 36 months of Sales & Customer Service experience
