Curriculum Coordinator/ Assistant Director – Kids ‘R’ Kids Academy of Concord NC
Kids ‘R’ Kids is a nationally recognized leader in the early childhood education. Our location in Concord NC is seeking a dedicated, qualified, experienced Curriculum Coordinator / School Age Lead to join our administration team. In this extremely rewarding position, you will assist our director in the operations of the school.
We are seeking an Assistant Director who has high standards and is effective in building relationships with staff, parents, and children. This position requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Overseeing the operations of the curriculum for the school and working closely with the team to increase the enrollment of the school and working closely with an existing administrative team.
Ensuring the day-to-day operations conforms to all safety and sanitary requirements as established by the state, county and other agencies involved in the daily operations along with the companies policies and procedures for class room management.
Assisting the teachers to make sure the curriculum is applied and implemented correctly.
Working with School Age children for part time during the day.
*Must have experience working with NC Child Care Rules, Regulations, Sanitation, Guidelines, Parent Relations, food program, DSS and Child Care Resources*
Job Requirements
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to be considered for employment.
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university and a minimum of (3) years experience as a curriculum coordinator or assistant director in a NC child care facility.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), multi tasking are essential.
- Holds a North Carolina level I, II or III administration certificate. This includes but is not limited to, criminal background screening, finger printing, etc...
- Knowledge of the NC Licensing Regulations and Sanitation Requirements.
- AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university
- MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills required along with the ability to learn other software programs.
- Experience working in a licensed early childhood center.
- Flexible to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the administration of classroom curriculum would be a plus.
- Willing to assist classrooms anytime, train teachers & staff, work with all vendors and Janitorial crew.
- Experience with front desk, marketing, childcare systems and social media would be highly beneficial.
- Willing to drive our 14-passenger bus on school route and summer camp. (no special license required, regular license with a clean record required)
