Kiddie Academy of Harrisburg is hiring warm, patient, high-energy Toddler Teachers for our Ones & Twos classrooms. This is the age of first words, first friendships and a hundred “I do it myself!” moments every day. If you bring patience, a steady calm and real joy to every little win, like a toddler stacking their very first tower, you’ll fit right in.

You won’t be on your own. You’ll share the classroom with a co-teacher and have hands-on support from your management every step of the way.

• Plan and lead weekly activities using Kiddie Academy’s Life Essentials® curriculum: sensory play, music, movement, early language and lots of reading
• Talk and have fun with toddlers all day long to build their vocabulary and confidence
• Handle diapering, mealtimes, naps and the daily routines that help toddlers feel safe
• Guide the big milestones: potty training, transitions, sharing and self-feeding
• Observe and record each child’s development using our assessment tools
• Keep families connected with daily updates, photos and friendly conversations at pickup
• Keep the classroom clean, safe and set up for exploring
• Share the day’s work with your co-teachers

What You Need

• 18 or older, with a high school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience working with children in a professional setting
• Able to obtain Pennsylvania childcare clearances: PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, FBI fingerprinting and the NSOR check
• Able to get down to a toddler’s level and safely lift children up to 40 lbs, including in and out of cribs and cots, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Dependable, a strong team player, and calm under pressure

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• A CDA, associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field
• Experience with classroom management
