Service Porter

Job Description

Keith Hawthorne Ford is hiring a full-time Automotive Porter responsible for vehicle movement, lot organization, and supporting dealership operations. This role is ideal for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced dealership environment.

The Automotive Porter plays a key role in keeping inventory organized, assisting customers, and supporting daily sales and service activities.

Work Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Move vehicles safely between the lot, showroom, and service department

• Maintain an organized and presentable vehicle lot

• Assist with new and used vehicle inventory placement

• Greet customers and direct them to appropriate departments

• Support service department with vehicle staging and pickup

• Check fuel levels and basic vehicle readiness

• Assist with dealer trades and vehicle deliveries

• Maintain cleanliness of lot and surrounding areas

• Follow dealership safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Strong attention to detail

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Positive, professional attitude

• Previous dealership or porter experience preferred but not required
