Used Vehicle Mechanic

Kayser Chrysler Center of Watertown is looking for an experienced Used Vehicle Mechanic to join our team.

This position is focused on inspecting and repairing used vehicles as they come into inventory and getting them ready for retail sale. The right person is someone who can diagnose problems, work efficiently, and take pride in putting out a quality vehicle.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect newly acquired used vehicles and identify needed repairs

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns

• Perform general mechanical repairs and maintenance

• Complete brake, suspension, steering, cooling, and other repairs

• Perform oil changes and routine maintenance

• Help determine whether repairs are necessary to make a vehicle safe and retail ready

• Work with the Used Vehicle and Service teams to keep vehicles moving through the process

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

What We’re Looking For

• Previous automotive repair experience preferred

• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills

• Ability to work independently and efficiently

• Good attention to detail

• Reliable and dependable

• ASE certifications are a plus, but not required

• Dealership experience is preferred, but we will consider experienced independent shop technicians
