Inside / Outside Moving Vehicles Specialist

Kayser Janesville Chevrolet Buick GMC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lot Attendant to join our team in Janesville, WI. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining the organization and appearance of our dealership lot, ensuring vehicles are properly cared for and readily accessible. This position offers a competitive annual salary of $35,000.00 - $40,000.00, paid semi-monthly, with opportunities to grow within a reputable automotive company.

Responsibilities

• Organize, park, and move vehicles on the dealership lot as needed.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for sales or service appointments.
• Assist in maintaining lot security by monitoring the premises and reporting any suspicious activities.
• Support the service department by delivering vehicles to and from the service area.
• Perform routine lot maintenance tasks such as sweeping, cleaning, and removing debris.
• Coordinate with team members to locate and prepare vehicles for customer pickup or test drives.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate vehicles safely and maneuver in tight lot spaces.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Prior experience in automotive or lot management is a plus but not required.

Essential Duties:

• Verifies serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice
• Inspects vehicles for any damages and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice
• Records the description of damages and lists missing items on the delivery receipt
• Parks new vehicles in assigned areas
• Catalogs and stores keys
• Affix stock numbers to vehicles
• Moves sold vehicles to maximize use of space and keep the lot in order
• Keeps new and used vehicle inventory parked and orderly
• Picks up and delivers vehicles to sublet suppliers on occasion
• Prepares wholesale used vehicles for auction
• Maintains facilities and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• NOTE:  Please remember this is mostly an outside position where the employee is subject to the extreme weather we have in southern Wisconsin.
