Karl Chevrolet, a thriving third-generation family business established in 1927, is seeking a talented Business Development Representative to build and grow our new Business Development Center (BDC). This is a ground-floor opportunity with clear path to leadership as we expand this critical customer-focused initiative.

The Opportunity:

In this pivotal role, you'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, managing both internet leads and inbound sales calls. Your excellent communication skills and customer service focus will help create positive first impressions that convert to lasting customer relationships. As we expand our BDC to support both sales and service departments, the successful candidate will be positioned to grow into a BDC Manager role.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and respond to all incoming sales leads using our DealerSocket CRM system
  • Create personalized email communications that engage potential customers
  • Connect with leads by phone to understand their needs and schedule in-dealership appointments
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with leads throughout their buying journey
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure smooth transitions for all appointments
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of dealership inventory
  • Analyze lead data to identify trends and potential inventory needs
  • Prepare detailed weekly and monthly performance reports
  • Work with our Digital Marketing Manager to optimize lead sources and marketing effectiveness
  • Support our social media engagement across platforms
  • Contribute to maintaining our FIVE STAR online reputation
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and communication skills

What You'll Bring:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Genuine passion for customer service
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze metrics
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (DealerSocket experience a plus)
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Previous customer service or sales experience preferred
  • Automotive industry knowledge is beneficial but not required
