Intensive Placement Stabilization is a robust clinical program offered by Kaleidoscope focused on comprehensive services to promote stability for youth in foster care and their families. In addition to our competitive compensation and benefits package, we are also offering a $2,000 signing bonus for a limited time!

The IPS Specialist will provide a variety of wrap-around services to meet the holistic care goals of the youth on their caseload. This will include activities such as home based family and individual therapy, advocacy, running Family Team Meetings, and providing trauma informed psychoeducation to foster parents. Our team specializes in trauma informed care, with a goal to promote healing relationships between youth and their caregivers, to create stability in the home and throughout the youth’s life.

Kaleidoscope values a highly trained team, and provides many opportunities for professional development and clinical growth. The IPS Specialist will be provided training in trauma informed frameworks such as ARC, TFCBT, and SPACE, and will receive weekly clinical supervision to promote integration of these models in their daily work. Supervision will be provided to meet the requirements of LCPC or LCSW licensure requirements. In addition, IPS Specialists will participate in consultation groups and case presentations with seasoned clinicians to provide additional reinforcement of clinical skills, trauma informed work, and systems advocacy.

The IPS program is grounded in a community based framework, providing services in the home and other settings that are most convenient for the families we serve. The IPS Specialist will spend a significant portion of their time in the field, and will be expected to travel throughout Cook County on a daily basis.
