About Us

At Joseph Auto Group, we are proud to be a locally owned, family-operated business with deep roots in the community. Over the decades, we’ve built our reputation on family values, honest communication, and long-term relationships with both our employees and our customers. Our service drive is fast-paced, high-volume, and supported by a team of experienced technicians, dedicated management, and loyal repeat clientele.

We are seeking a driven, professional Automotive Service Advisor who shares our family-first dedication to quality service, excels at transparent communication, and thrives in a high-energy environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Service Advisor, you serve as the critical bridge between our service customers and our certified repair technicians. Your primary focus is to deliver a smooth, reassuring ownership experience while keeping shop workflow running efficiently.

  • Customer Consultation: Greet customers promptly in the service drive, listen actively to vehicle concerns, and accurately log repair order details.
  • Proactive Status Updates: Keep customers continuously informed on their vehicle’s repair status—delivering timely, transparent updates via phone, text, or email so they are never left wondering about their car.
  • Work Order Management: Provide clear repair estimates, explain multi-point inspection results, and obtain approvals for additional recommended maintenance without high-pressure tactics.
  • Technician Collaboration: Liaise continuously with technicians to track job progress, manage parts availability, and ensure accurate promise times.
  • Trust & Retention: Follow up with clients regarding warranty coverage, potential delays, and post-service satisfaction to maintain high customer satisfaction scores (CSI).

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 1–3+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor / Writer (dealership or high-volume independent shop preferred).
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of general automotive mechanics, factory maintenance schedules, and warranty processes.
  • DMS & Communication Tools: Hands-on experience with dealership management software and texting/update platforms.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex technical repair issues in clear, accessible language.
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass standard pre-employment screening.

What We Offer

  • Supportive, family-owned working environment where your voice matters
  • Competitive base pay plus performance/CSI commission structure
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options
  • 401(k) plan
  • Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay
