We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Dealer Trade Driver to join our automotive dealership team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of vehicles between dealership locations while ensuring all related documentation is completed accurately. The ideal candidate has a clean driving record, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with dealership staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport vehicles between dealership locations according to scheduled routes and timelines
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are road-ready
  • Load and unload vehicles using safe and approved practices
  • Follow all transportation schedules and instructions provided by dealership management
  • Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork, including delivery receipts and vehicle transfer documents
  • Communicate clearly with dealership personnel regarding pickups, deliveries, delays, or issues
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the transport vehicle, ensuring it is properly fueled and maintained
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations, including those related to commercial vehicle operation
  • Respond appropriately to unexpected situations, incidents, or emergencies and report them per dealership protocols
  • Assist with additional dealership tasks as needed, such as vehicle inspections or inventory organization during downtime

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Prior professional driving experience preferred (automotive dealership, transportation, or similar field)
  • Knowledge of local traffic laws and road safety regulations
  • Ability to operate and maneuver vehicles of varying sizes, including larger trucks and trailers
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately read and complete paperwork
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
