Automotive Service Technician

Jones Family of Dealerships is looking for a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our GMC team! In this role, you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of automotive and light truck systems—including engines, brakes, electrical components, and more.

The ideal candidate is highly proficient in mechanical tasks, excels in preventive maintenance, and thrives when working independently. If you're passionate about quality service and precision repairs, we want to hear from you!

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid driver’s license
• PA Safety Inspection and PA Emissions licenses
• Automotive repair experience (Diesel expertise is a plus)
• Proficiency with shop tools and basic computer skills
• Prior EV repair experience is valued but not required
• Vocational/technical certifications are a plus but not required

What You’ll Do:

• Perform preventive maintenance services and warranty repairs efficiently
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, powertrains, HVAC, brakes, and suspension systems
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols
• Conduct test drives, routine maintenance (oil changes, battery checks), and trade-in assessments
• Prepare new vehicles for delivery through inspections and reconditioning
