Position Overview

The Service Cashier/Administrator is responsible for processing payments for work completed or purchase of parts requests, proper reconciliation of repair orders and parts invoices, and the collection of money from Parts and Service transactions in the dealership. This position is full time Tuesday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm and Saturday 8:00am-1:00pm.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect every service repair order and/or parts invoice for proper completion and accuracy
  • Receives payment from customers and/or employees; makes a change as needed; issues receipts.
  • Refunds cash or issues credit to customers for returned merchandise.
  • Reconciles cash register tape with cash and receipts on hand at end of shift.
  • Produces reports as requested.
  • Follow up with aftermarket service contract payments
  • Scan all daily repair orders and parts tickets
  • Answer phones when needed
  • Perform any other administrative tasks as directed by management
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, add, subtract, divide and comprehend written instructions and information
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous industry experience (preferred)
  • Ability to maintain a friendly demeanor when working under pressure
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
