John Jones Auto Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our growing Service Department. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and dedicated to providing high-quality automotive repairs and maintenance. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues

• Complete repairs and maintenance including brakes, suspension, engine, transmission, heating/AC, electrical systems, and drivability concerns

• Conduct multi-point inspections and document findings clearly

• Perform manufacturer-recommended services and warranty repairs

• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding repair needs, parts requirements, and timelines

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Follow all safety protocols, dealership procedures, and manufacturer guidelines

• Test-drive vehicles to confirm repairs

• Stay current on training, certifications, and new automotive technologies

Qualifications

• Automotive technician experience required (dealership experience preferred)

• ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Familiarity with dealership systems, diagnostic tools, and repair equipment

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a shop environment
