Rentals Advisor

 

We’re actively recruiting a Rentals Advisor. This individual will act as the main liaison for our customer base and will play a vital role in developing successful customer relationships. This position will be responsible for all rental quoting, issuance of all rental contracts and communication with the Service department as it pertains to the equipment rentals.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Main point of contact for all rental calls and quotes from customers and Regional Sales Managers
  • Create and issue all rental contracts
  • Ensure all rental documentation is received and accurate prior to check-out
  • Provide all rental information (start date, CVOR #, customer contact) to service centers prior to check-out
  • Organize and schedule all freight in and out with Logistics Manager/Service teams
  • Maintain fleet database with up-to-date status details
  • Collaborate with the Rentals Administrator to ensure precise and accurate billing
  • Coordinate with the Rentals Fleet Manager to ensure all equipment is prepared and available by the required start dates
  • Maintain lead tracker report, communicating actions items daily and weekly
  • Coordinate Customer training if required
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to management to keep them informed and up-to-date on market activity
  • Participate in Tender calls
  • Other duties as required

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:

  • Degree or diploma in Business/Operations/Maintenance or related discipline preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driver abstract

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related environment
  • Previous experience in overseeing a large, multi-jurisdictional fleet of vehicles is considered an asset
  • High level of Customer Service experience

ABOUT YOU:

  • In-depth knowledge of equipment rental and leasing programs, preparing quotes and opening/closing work orders
  • Strong understanding of fleet asset management principles
  • Strong communication, negotiation and financial management skills
  • Understanding of applicable legislative requirements including CVOR, IFTA, Highway Traffic Act regulations
  • Proven strategic thinker with ability to drive results
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Knowledge of industrial and municipal equipment
  • Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office and Asset Management software
  • Able to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Work in a safe and responsible manner adhering to all health and safety policies


Previous experiences may include; Service Writer, Rentals Administrator, Administrative Coordinator, Leasing Clerk
