MASTER TECHNICIAN

Master Technician — $50–$55/Flag Hour, 90-Day Full-Rate Guarantee

We're hiring Master-level technicians at all three of our stores. If you're a certified tech who's tired of fighting for hours, watching the diagnostic work go to someone with less certification than you, or seeing your pay plan change every time a new manager shows up, read on. If you don't hold a current factory Master-level certification, this isn't the right posting; we have other technician openings. 

Pay, in plain terms 

$50–$55 per flag hour, set by your certification level (GM Master / World Class or Ford Senior Master). Your first 90 days are guaranteed at 40 hours a week at your full rate while you learn our shop and build your book. That's a $2,000–$2,200 weekly floor from day one, and the pay plan is written down before you start. After 90 days you're on straight flat rate, with no cap on what you can flag. 

What the work looks like 

You get the drivability, electrical, and heavy-line tickets your certification earns. Dispatch is run by a person, not a free-for-all, and the job is to keep your bay loaded with the work you're best at. Late-model GM and Ford product, healthy warranty and customer-pay mix, parts departments that stock for the shop instead of against it. 

Who this is for 

Current GM Master / World Class or Ford Senior Master certification. Five-plus years dealership flat-rate experience. You're comfortable on flat rate and know how to flag your hours. You get paid for what you produce, and you like it that way. Your own tools, a clean insurable driving record, and the ability to diagnose instead of throwing parts. ASE Master is a plus. 

Who this is not for 

We've built a shop where the techs help each other and nobody's above pulling a buddy out of a hole. If you keep your knowledge to yourself, treat advisors and porters like the help, or need drama to feel busy, you won't like it here and we won't pretend otherwise. We hire for attitude as hard as we hire for skill.
