We are looking for a Transmission Technician to join our growing team! You'll be diagnosing, servicing, and repairing transmission systems in vehicles: inspecting parts, replacing worn or damaged components, performing fluid changes, and utilizing diagnostic tools to verify functionality through test drives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of Automotive Technician experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ford Certification preferred
  • Mid-level technician skills with experience in diagnostics, electrical systems, and engine repairs
  • Strong manual dexterity and precise hand-eye coordination
  • Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues and use diagnostic tools effectively
  • Good communication skills paired with basic computer literacy
  • Energetic, approachable personality with a strong desire for continuous learning
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving setting
  • Cooperative team player who works well with others
  • Quick to pick up new technologies, procedures, and service techniques
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record
