Used Car Technician

Irwin Lincoln Mazda is seeking a skilled Used Car Technician to join our growing team! We are looking for a detail-oriented technician who takes pride in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet our quality standards. Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough inspections of used vehicles to identify needed repairs and reconditioning requirements
• Complete mechanical repairs to prepare vehicles for resale
• Diagnose and repair vehicle concerns including brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC, electrical, and drivability issues
• Perform maintenance services and ensure vehicles meet dealership quality standards
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately troubleshoot vehicle systems
• Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently
• Communicate additional repair needs and vehicle conditions with management and service personnel
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Ensure all completed vehicles are reliable, safe, and customer-ready

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of automotive technician experience preferred
• Previous used car, reconditioning, or dealership experience preferred
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with electrical diagnosis and engine repair preferred
• Ability to perform quality repairs efficiently with attention to detail
• Comfortable using electronic diagnostic equipment and computer systems
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to be part of a team
• Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and specifications
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
