Flat Rate Ford Service Technician

Ira Ford Saco in Saco, ME is looking for a Flat Rate Automotive Service Technician to join our growing service team. If you have a strong technician background, hands-on diagnostic experience, and a passion for doing quality work — we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do

• Perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
• Complete repair orders efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership and Ford factory standards
• Test-drive vehicles and evaluate components using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment
• Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
• Communicate directly with service advisors to keep customers informed of additional service needs and provide repair time estimates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of automotive service technician experience preferred
• B-level qualifications including diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair
• Ford Certification preferred; previous Ford dealership experience a plus
• ASE Certification a plus
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with electronic diagnostic equipment
• Steady hands, excellent hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
• Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and manufacturer specifications
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and eagerness to grow
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
