Join Our Team! InterContinental The Clement Monterey, a luxury waterfront hotel located on historic Cannery Row, is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dishwasher (Kitchen Steward) to join our culinary team.

At InterContinental The Clement Monterey, every associate plays an important role in delivering exceptional hospitality. Our Kitchen Stewards help keep our culinary operations running smoothly by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment that supports our restaurants, banquets, and Food & Beverage operations.

What You'll Do

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, and cookware.
• Ensure clean kitchenware is readily available to support daily restaurant and banquet operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout kitchen work areas, equipment, floors, and storage spaces.
• Operate, clean, and maintain dishwashing equipment, reporting any maintenance concerns.
• Properly dispose of garbage, recycling, and food compost.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
• Assist with food preparation, employee cafeteria operations, and special cleaning projects as needed.
• Follow established food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with culinary associates and management to support efficient operations.

• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Previous dishwasher, kitchen, or hotel experience preferred but not required.
• California Food Handler Card preferred.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements: This position involves prolonged standing and walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting as necessary. Work is performed primarily in a kitchen environment where temperatures and conditions may vary.
