Job Details for the School Nurse Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) are as follows:
- Salary $30 per hour, paid weekly
- Assignment Location(s): Scranton, PA
- Tuesday through Friday, 6.5 to 7 hour days
- Steady hours throughout School Year
- OFF holidays, summers, weekends
- Other opportunities available during time off in home care, group homes, and long term care facilities

The School Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides effective and efficient patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and in accordance with the patient’s plan of care, applicable law and regulation, accepted standards of nursing practice, payor requirements and Interim HealthCare policies and procedures.
Responsibilities of the School Nurse Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
- Educating students on hygiene and safety practices
- Dispensing prescription medications to students per physician instructions
- Taking students’ temperatures when fever is suspected
- Administering first aid and CPR
- Treating minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes and bruises
- Assistance with Activities for Daily Living, such as changing, feeding, etc. (1:1 cases)
Minimum Requirements of the School Nurse Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with active unrestricted license in the state of Pennsylvania; Required
- One (1) year of experience in pediatric nursing; preferred.
- Current CPR Certification; preferred.
- Must have a reliable form of transportation
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment screenings
