Interim Healthcare of Birmingham is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide in-home therapy services to patients across the Birmingham and Tuscaloosa areas. This role offers flexible scheduling and competitive per-visit pay, making it ideal for PTAs looking to supplement their current schedule or transition into home health.

What You’ll Do

• Provide physical therapy treatments in patients’ homes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

• Assist patients with mobility, balance, strength training, and therapeutic exercises

• Monitor patient progress and report updates to the supervising Physical Therapist

• Document visits and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner

• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety strategies to support recovery

Qualifications

• Active Alabama Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program

• Current CPR certification

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Strong communication and patient care skills

• Home health experience is a plus, but not required
