Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and providing compassionate, individualized care
• Administering medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols
• Assisting patients with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations
• Providing wound care and monitoring wound healing
• Providing care for patients with PEG tubes and assisting with related feeding needs, as applicable
• Administering infusions and monitoring patients for responses or potential complications, as applicable
• Conducting nursing assessments and monitoring patients for changes in condition that may require adjustments to their plan of care, medications, or medical equipment
• Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Performing other nursing duties as assigned within the RN  scope of practice
• Assignment dependent: Capacity to act as the charge nurse on the floor for the entirety of scheduled shift

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota, or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges, as applicable.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous RN experience highly preferred
• Must maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in a variety of healthcare settings
