School Based Licensed Practical Nurse LPN
Interim Healthcare is seeking a School Based Licensed Practical Nurse LPN to work 1:1 with a student in a classroom setting. Each student has their own unique education plan. - Pay range from $28 to $32 per hour; varies per assignment
- Location(s): Scranton, Dunmore and Carbondale areas
- Follows standard school hours (6.5 to 7 hours daily); holidays, summers, weekends OFF
- Other opportunities available during time off in home care, group homes, and long term care facilities
- Summer Camp opportunities offered from July through mid-August
- Staffing Benefits: Health insurance after 90 days (employee only), accrued PTO, weekly pay via direct deposit, employee referral program, etc.
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) working 1:1 in the classroom provides direct medical and personal care to support a student’s health and participation in school.
Responsibilities of the School Based Licensed Practical Nurse LPN:
- Administer medications according to established medication administration principles, physician orders and facility policy and procedures.
- Provide direct care to children with a wide variety of diagnoses, conditions, and diseases
- Assist with ambulation, toileting, feeding, etc.
- Recognize changing patient conditions and emergency situations and appropriately intervene.
- Collaborate with Clinical Supervisor concerning patients’ medical records as needed.
Minimum Requirements of the School Based Licensed Practical Nurse LPN:
- Licensed Practical Nurse with active, unrestricted license in the state of Pennsylvania
- One (1) year of experience in healthcare; home care, home health, hospital, and/or long-term care environment preferred
- Experience with pediatrics and mental health; preferred
- Current CPR Certification; preferred.
- Must have a reliable form of transportation
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment screenings
