The Parts & Shop support associate aid the Emergency Lighting department with ensuring inventory remains organized at all times. They reduce delays by being proactive in restocking as needed, conducting period checks of inventory and reporting discrepancies to managers.
Responsibilities:
- Physically receive all shipments and retain packing slips and turn into parts manager.
- Organize parts inventory in storage area. Followings established parts and bin locations.
- Pull and stage parts for up-fit projects.
- Review parts and shop supplies with techs upon delivery to technician’s station.
- Manage shop supplies to include wire.
- Draft orders needed for restocking, submit to manager for approval.
- Ad-hoc supply runs/vehicle transport at manager’s request.
- Building wiring harnesses.
- Ensure department work areas are clean, safe and free of hazards. Includes taking out trash, breaking down cardboard, sweeping floors and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Able to read, write and understand English.
- Basic computer skills, E-mail, Microsoft Word and other applications.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift about 50 lbs; prolonged standing/walking required.
- Ability to become Forklift Certified.
- Prior experience with inventory processing, desirable.
